Welcome to the official blogspot of the 2008 National Mixed Doubles Platform Tennis Championships.

This three-day event scheduled for Friday, February 29th - Sunday, March 2nd, 2008 will be held in New Canaan, CT and will feature some of the best men and women platform tennis players in the country.  Expected to compete are top-ranked players such as Dave and Marina Ohlmuller, George and Lauren Zink, John Milbank, and local teaching pro Gerri Viant.

We are very excited to be able to bring an event of this scale and caliber to Fairfield County.  The growth and popularity of platform tennis locally has experienced a tremendous upswing in recent years.  It's great that the APTA has recognized this and awarded such a prestigious national championship tournament to one of the towns that has been an important part of the game's rich history.

Following long-standing tradition, the weekend festivities kick off on Friday with a one-day Husband-Wife tournament.  Competition in the larger main draw begins Saturday morning, with the semi-finals and finals on Sunday.  And of course, you won't want to miss the fun parties Friday and Saturday nights!
